Chi Omega- Pinterest Party

Today was a fun day because I got to spend time with my Chi Omega family and we had a pinterest party. At the party we created different types of crafts. I made a cork board, made out of cork board, card board, and any fabric you wanted. The second item that I made, was called nail art. This is comprised of a piece of wood, some nails you would get from a hardware store and yarn. The design that I tried to make was the greek letters for Chi Omega and then I was going to wrap red and yellow yarn around the nails. Little did I know that it was going to be hard to pound the nails into the wood. Just that step took me 45 minutes. So, once I had the nails in; it was time for the yarn. I was so happy that I had reached this step, because it meant that I was almost done. This is where I began to get MAD!!!!!!!

The nails decided that they did not want to stay in the wood. So, when I would wrap the yarn around the nails; the nails would come out. So, I got my life together and re-hammered the nails down. They have must gotten the hint that I was not in the mood for flaws, because they stayed in their places. But I spoke to soon. When I lifted up the board; ALL THE NAILS CAME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is when I gave up and started to play Candy Crush.

Goodrich Organization

Today was another exciting day because I ran for freshman Representative for the Goodrich Organization. At first, I was very nervous at first because, I have not given a speech in a long time. I think the last speech I gave was freshmen year of high school. UM, that is like 5 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!

So, I walk into the meeting and they were all staring at me. By this time, I didn't know if I could even continue on and present my speech. OH, one thing that I left out, was that I was the first one to give my speech. Once, I had given my speech; there was a big sigh of relief. They said that they would post my video on YouTube and the rest of the organization would vote.

When I got home I tried to look for my video and I couldn't find it. Well what they fail to mention was that I was the only person, running for the position and I automatically got the position.

Im Sooooooo exicted

Tomorrow is one of the most exciting days of my life. I get to meet my big sister in Chi Omega. All week I have been receiving little gifts from her without know who she is.

Stress Management Class

So, in my last post I stated that I dropped my math class and I switched to a class on Thrusday nights, called Stress Manangement. The first week, I was very nervous because I did not know what I would be getting myself into.

When I walked into the room, there was a big sigh of relief because one of my favorite Chi Omega sisters was in the class. I met the teacher and she was very weird but nice at the same time.

Overall, I think I will like the class because we get to learn how to deal with stress and how we could apply the exercises to our professions.

Math

So yesterday I had to withdrawl my math class because it was so hard. Let me explain the pros and cons.

Pros:

- You get tones of help in the math lab

- You can re-take math quizzes until you get 100%

Cons:
- You have to learn on your own, because the teacher is not going to go over everything
- You have to spend at least 3 hours of your own time in the math lab a week.

The math program is a good program, but just not for me. If you are a type of person who likes to learn on your own, then this is the place for you. Luckly I will be able to take the class at Metro.
