During this lunch and learn, I was
able to find out about what I need to do in college to be successful in the
next three years. The first thing that we talked about was a tentative outline
for what we should do as college students during our four years. One thing that
stood out to me was that I will be able to graduate in four years and that I
can take classes in the summer, instead of trying to cram all the credits in
the two semesters.
Another thing that I love about
ACDC is that they have so many resources, for so many different things. For
example, after the presentation I had questions about whom I should talk to
gain information about internships and/or job shadowing for psychology. I was
able to get a whole list of contacts. I was very surprised that they were able
to help me and at a reasonable period. I was so use to having to wait for weeks
and weeks, just to get a reply.
A few weeks ago, I went to their
office to talk about what different career choices I have with a double major
in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I learned that there are so many different
opportunities and jobs I could have with a double major. In the near future, I
will be going back to their office to get help on starting my college resume.
